People such as the author, Jon Krakauer,and Doctor Zhivago can be related to Chris McCandless in many ways. Jon is related to Chris because they both love nature's beauty and like Chris was motivated to not give up his goal of climbing. Doctor Zhivago can be related to Chris on the mental side because like Chris Zhivago believes in that the human body can only find spiritual wisdom through sacrifice and putting yourself in a situation that moves you away from the real world.
